Room sizing
Treat 388 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour as the useful frequent-cleaning reference. The larger 1,862 sq ft one-hour figure describes a much slower cycle. An enclosed room is a more predictable task than several rooms connected by doorways; lowering the fan also reduces delivery.
Fan speed and noise
The 23–54 dB range describes different operating settings. It cannot tell you how much clean air you receive at your preferred sound level. For a bedroom, capacity headroom is more useful than choosing solely by the smallest decibel number, and Sleep Mode should not be equated with full rated airflow.
Controls and automation
VeSync handles schedules, while the dust sensor adjusts the fan in Auto. The distinction that matters is Turbo: Auto does not select it. Set a manual speed when you want sustained airflow rather than expecting the sensor to use every available setting.
Filtration design
The pre-filter, particle filter and carbon media have different jobs. HEPA-grade filtration is qualified to Sleep Mode, so this is not an all-speed HEPA promise. Carbon in the filter does not establish how well a room will be cleared of a particular gas or persistent odor.
Filter care
Wash the pre-filter and replace the main filter; the washable part does not make the whole assembly reusable. Leave room to remove the filter and maintain the air intake. This design suits someone willing to do small cleaning jobs instead of treating the purifier as a sealed appliance.
